Month of May Bronze Badge Information

General Information

Can’t decide which day to come out to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway? Well how about all of them! The Bronze Badge grants you gate admission and garage access to every day in May excluding Sonsio Grand Prix and Indy 500 Race Days. It also grants you access into the world famous Gasoline Alley to interact with drivers, see the cars and much more!

This is a great way for fans to be able to get closer to the drivers and see all the action at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway during the month. For fans that plan to be at the Speedway for multiple days, this is a great way to save money on gate admission.

Access Days and Requirements

Bronze Badges will be honored at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway for gate admission and garage area access on the following days during public gate hours and as directed by IMS personnel.

  • May 9
  • May 13-19
  • May 23-24

Each Bronze Badge purchased will require a signed waiver. Each Bronze Badge holder must be 18 years or older. For any questions, call the IMS Credential Office at (317) 492-6500.

Pick-Up Information

Already Purchased Your Bronze Badge? For 2025 Bronze Badges will be mailed, as long as all recipients on your account have completed the IMS Standard Liability Release. Once you have purchased a badge, the electronic release will be emailed to the email address provided, in February of 2025.

Must be 18 years or older to participate in the Bronze Badge program. For more information, please call the IMS Credential Office at 317-492-6500. there are no refunds for the Bronze Badge once it is purchased. Bronze Badges can be picked up from the Credential Office beginning in May 2025.

Lost or stolen Bronze Badges or coupons cannot be replaced, and there are no refunds. A non-transferable Bronze Badge is issued to the specific individual redeeming the coupon and is usable by that person only. If Bronze Badge(s) are mailed, please confirm that the correct individual receives his/her assigned badge number. Transferring a Bronze Badge among individuals is strictly prohibited.

Pre-Race Grid Walk

All Bronze Badge holders have access to a Pre-Race Grid Walk prior to the start of the Sonsio Grand Prix.

  • When: Saturday, May 10
  • Where: Enter through Gasoline Alley, Pagoda, or the North Pit Gate
  • How to Access: Show your Bronze Badge at the entrance points

You must purchase a Race Day ticket to the Sonsio Grand Prix to gain entrance to the track on Saturday, May 10.

The following Bronze Badge restrictions apply:

  • The Bronze Badge grants NO RACE DAY ACCESS
  • The Bronze Badge grants NO Special Parking Privileges
  • The Bronze Badge is Non-transferable
  • The Bronze Badge grants NO Pit Lane Access

Junior Garage Credential

The Junior Garage Credential provides access to the garage area for the little race fan in your life. Children from ages 9-17 are granted access to get up close and personal with their favorite drivers and teams to make memories that will last a lifetime.

How to Purchase a Junior Garage Credential

Junior Garage Credentials can be purchased by calling the IMS Credential Office at 317-492-6500. The price of a Junior Garage Credential is $75 and the minor must be accompanied by a credentialed parent or legal guardian at all times.

Must be between the ages of 9-17 years to participate in the Junior Garage Credential program. Junior Garage Credentials cannot be mailed and must be picked up from the Credentials Office with the parent/guardian and minor present.

No. The Bronze Badge and silver badge are are not valid for gate Admission or garage/pit access on Sonsio Grand Prix and Indy 500 Race Days.

Bronze Badges and Junior Garage Credentials will be honored at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway for gate admission and garage area access for non Race Days in May 2025, during public gate hours and as directed by IMS personnel. (Race Day tickets are required for gate admission on Race Days.) A Bronze Badge can also grant admission for a pit walk before the Sonsio Grand Prix.

Credentials do not provide seating or parking privileges and are not valid on Race Days.

No, but there is free limited parking in the Turn 3 and North 40 lots on non-Race Days that are first-come first-serve. Exclusions apply on Carb Day and Legends Day. If you wish to secure an infield parking pass, please call the Ticket Office at 317-492-6700 to purchase parking.

Yes, 18 years of age to enter the Garage Area with a Bronze Badge and/or the pit area with a Silver Badge.

Yes, you must be 9-17 years of age to enter the Garage Area as a Junior Garage Credential holder with an accompanied credentialed parent and/or legal guardian. The junior garage credential does not grant any pit access of any kind.

Shirt and shoes must be worn at all times. Admittance will be denied if clothing is considered offensive, disruptive or unsuitable for any reason. The decision of management is final. Alcoholic beverages are not permitted in the pit or garage areas.
