Frequently Asked Questions
Standard vehicle parking includes a 10’ x 10’ space. While you can technically tailgate off this, you are limited in space, and it can be difficult to plan for a large group. Our Lakeside Tailgating Zone offers a larger, 20’ x 20’, space while also giving you the ability to reserve zones directly together. All this provides ample area, ease of location, and a great overall experience for your entire group.
We only provide the space, but you’re welcome to bring in your own items. We recommend pop-up tents (each tent limited to 10’ x 10’), food
and beverage (no glass permitted), tables, chairs, etc. You can view all IMS Gate Regulations here.
We do not allow early entry on Indianapolis 500 Race Day but on Carb Day you can purchase a Bronze Badge ($160) for entry one hour before public gates open.
Vehicles enter through Gate 2 from 16th Street. Guests walking can access the infield through any IMS pedestrian tunnel.
Tickets are not included. Each person attending the event will be required to have a ticket. Tower Terrace reserved seating or General Admission
tickets are recommended.
