Friday, June 26, 2026 Indianapolis Motor Speedway

BC39 at The Dirt Track at IMS

A series of heat races, mains and semi-features will set the field for the 30-lap feature Tuesday night and the 39-lap main event Wednesday night at The Dirt Track at IMS.

The BC39 Presented by Avanti Windows & Doors will feature a two-night format for USAC NOS Energy Drink Midget National Championship competitors on June 30-July 1 at The Dirt Track at Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

The Tuesday, June 30 opener concludes with a 30-lap feature. That’s followed by the finale Wednesday, July 1, culminating in a 39-lap main event featuring a $20,039 winner’s purse.

The event honors late USAC champion and three-time Indianapolis 500 starter Bryan Clauson.

The details of the format:

Tuesday, June 30

  • Heat race positions will be selected during the heat race draft at 5 p.m. ET.
  • Heat races will be held with starting positions based on their selections during the heat race draft. Each heat race is eight laps.
  • Points for heat races will be accumulated by finishing position and total number of positions advanced.
  • Heat race winners and the top point earners will be locked into Tuesday’s feature. Drivers who are 17th through 48th in points will advance to one of the two semi-features; drivers 49th and lower in points will race in the C-Main.
  • The top 16 locked-in drivers will start straight-up based on overall points in the first 16 positions of the feature – rows 1-8.
  • The top four finishers from one C-Main (or top two finishers from two C-Mains) will transfer to the tail of the semi-feature(s). Each C-Main is 10 laps. Non-transfers will receive points toward Wednesday’s qualifying race lineups.
  • The top four finishers from each of the two semi-features will transfer into the feature. Each semi-feature is 12 laps. Non-transfers will receive points toward Wednesday’s qualifying race lineups.
  • The semi-feature transfers will line up in positions 17-24 of the feature lineup, rows 9-12, based on their finishing order in the semi.
  • The 30-lap feature pays $5,000 to win. The feature also will pay points toward Wednesday’s qualifying race lineups.

Wednesday, July 1

  • Qualifying races will be held and will be lined up based on Tuesday’s heat race and feature points. Each qualifying race is 10 laps.
  • The top six (36 total) in heat race points will start inverted in each of their respective qualifying races.
